Our Community
Suzette Lindemuth founded Senior Living Systems, now Senior Living, in 1987, with a mission of providing an environment of aging well for seniors in Los Lunas and the greater Albuquerque area. Over time, the Center for Ageless Living evolved into a full-fledged community, providing both comprehensive care, and quality-of-life enhancement, for residents, and their families.
Situated on six acres, the Center features lush landscaping in a peaceful setting. Several gardens are scattered throughout the grounds, some even have raised beds to allow access by people using wheelchairs. Our Senior Living programs provide assisted residential living and community support services that follow a social model rather than a medical model. The Greenhouse Bistro and Bakery and the Garden Gate Day Spa and Salon at the Center provide access to amenities to all of our clients and families at Senior Living.
Senior Living provides a continuum of care for seniors at varying levels of functioning. From our Independent Living Community, to our Personal Living Systems, and Assisted Living, each is designed to provide clients with the support they need, while maintaining their dignity and providing vital human interaction.
The Independent Living Community promotes senior communal living through the five apartments on the campus of the Center for Ageless Living. Monthly rate includes utilities, cable TV, high-speed Internet, daily checks by staff to ensure safety, and weekly housekeeping and laundry services. Amenities include access to the Garden Gate Day Spa pool and hot tubs, and discounts on services at the Spa and Salon, garden areas, and community spaces for social interaction. There is also a walking path and a secure courtyard.
Personal Living Systems provides in-home care from dedicated, highly-skilled caretakers, who assist our clients with things such as personal hygiene, food preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation to and from appointments. Short-term services are available for individuals suffering from illnesses or injuries, as well as for seniors requiring long-term care.
Assisted Living provides residential accommodations in three homes located on the campus of the Center for Ageless Living. Caregiving and support services such a bathing and toileting, mobility assistance, and medication management, are provided based on individual needs. Twenty-four hour staffing provides emergency services and availability to personalized care. Family members are encouraged to participate in care plans and activities for the one they care about to enhance quality of life, and to minimize the isolation that too often accompanies aging.
The Green House Bistro and Bakery features fresh baked goods and pastries, soups, salads, and the signature dish, rotisserie chicken. Much of the produce incorporated into the Assisted Living menu is sourced from local growers, and the Center's gardens.
The Garden Gate Day Spa and Salon provides a healing personal touch for Assisted Living residents that can benefit from massage or specialized treatments. Complimentary hair and nail care is provided each month to residents, and Independent Living residents can access the amenities at the Spa and receive discounts on services at the Spa and the Salon. Personal Living Systems' clients can receive services from the Spa and Salon in their own home, and are customized based on need.
