Our Founder
When Suzette Lindemuth founded Senior Living Systems, now Senior Living, in 1987, she was inspired by the concept of ageless living. She focused her efforts on a social model of care, rather than a medical one. The result is Senior Living, a multi-functional, multi-featured senior living community, providing Independent Living, Personal Living Services, and Assisted Living Care, to meet the needs of seniors at different levels of health and ability, while also maintaining their dignity, minimizing isolation, and maximizing their quality of life.
The Mission
Suzette has an extensive background in helping others improve their quality of life. She received a master’s degree in Management and Recreation Therapy from the University of Northern Colorado. While earning her degree, she also worked as a recreation therapist in the Fort Collins, Colorado Correctional Facility. After moving to Albuquerque in 1985, she began working in recreational therapy at St. Joseph Hospital and Memorial Hospital.
Suzette applied her combined background in business and helping others when she established Senior Living. Recognized as one of the Top 25 Women Owned Businesses in 2006, and again in 2007.
But Senior Living is more than a financially successful business. The facility, our dedicated staff, and all our services reflect Suzette’s commitment to ageless living. Senior Living recognizes the changes and challenges associated with growing older, while celebrating the life of the individual.
Senior Living Services and Ageless Living
Each of the three levels of care, Independent Living, Personal Living Systems, and Assisted Living, reflect Suzette’s mission. Senior Living operates on a continuum of care, providing seniors at varying levels of functioning with the right amount of assistance, along with a beautiful campus, and amenities like a restaurant and full-service spa to encourage interaction and a sense of community.
